Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zaid Silva (ranked 1631 p4p, 2350 weight class) and Wong Fei Hung (ranked 201 p4p, 284 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wong Fei Hung!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fei Hung has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

and Fei Hung counters with a crisp one two that drops Silva! Fei Hung thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Silva to his feet! Silva is in big trouble!

Fei Hung finds Silva's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Silva flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Fei Hung lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Silva will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wong Fei Hung!
