Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bio Frankenstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, James Hopkins!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins stalks Frankenstein and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Frankenstein's face. Frankenstein staggers backwards, shaken.
Hopkins scores with a hook to the body. Frankenstein takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Frankenstein dodges the punch combination from Hopkins.
Hopkins swings for the body but Frankenstein moves out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hopkins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Hopkins displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Frankenstein has taken the fight to the clinch.
Frankenstein tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hopkins just stands there and leans against the cage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bio Frankenstein. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hopkins wants to get back to striking at distance but Frankenstein won't allow it.

Oh but Frankenstein is tightening it up a little... Hopkins has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hopkins reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hopkins taps out! Nice BJJ there by Frankenstein!
