Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Minor Cuevas (ranked 2368 p4p, 2064 weight class) and Big Boss (ranked 295 p4p, 267 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Minor Cuevas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Minor Cuevas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Minor Cuevas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Boss! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boss darts in and clinches Cuevas up against the cage. Boss stalling against the cage.
Cuevas wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boss has him pressed against the cage. Boss taking a breather. Cuevas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Boss rushes Cuevas and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Cuevas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cuevas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bosss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The fight stays on the outside here - Boss looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Cuevas swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Boss closes the distance but Cuevas moves to the side and Cuevas counters with a nice uppercut. Big Boss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boss moves into the clinch. Boss tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cuevas just stands there and leans against the cage. Cuevas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cuevas scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. The fight stays on the outside here - Boss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cuevas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bosss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Boss moves into the clinch. Boss looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Boss content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Boss jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cuevas walks away with a smile on his face. Boss gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Boss tries to grapple but his opponent circles letting Cuevas counter with a right hand. Boss closes the distance and clinches. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Boss is struggling to control the position. A bit of stalling here from Boss.
The crowd are getting on Boss's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuevas pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cuevas is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Boss instigates a clinch. Boss ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boss no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Cuevas gets to his feet - Boss follows without any prompting. Cuevas lands with a straight right. Boss didn't see that one coming. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Boss clinches up with Cuevas and pushes him back against the cage. Cuevas wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Cuevas's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cuevas scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Boss rushes Cuevas and presses him up against the cage. Cuevas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cuevas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Boss gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Boss jumps guard.
Cuevas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boss on the ground. Boss bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cuevas's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boss stopping the sweep attempt from Cuevas. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boss won't allow Cuevas to get back to his feet. Cuevas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cuevas tries to get out of the position. Boss engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Cuevas has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Boss has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Cuevas is trying to break the clinch but Boss has him pressed against the cage. Cuevas is trying to break free. Boss gets control of Cuevas's arms and successfully pulls guard. Boss will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Cuevas is looking to stand up but Boss won't let him. Boss is trying to control the position but Cuevas postures up. Boss is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cuevas has his hands clasped together but Boss extends and breaks Cuevas's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Boss.
