This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 21 losses; Jaro Lalla! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Matteo Chibaclov!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Chibaclov dives in and grabs Lalla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lalla pushes down on Chibaclov's head and hops out.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chibaclov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

We've been hearing good reports from Lalla's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
