This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 21 losses; Jaro Lalla! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Matteo Chibaclov! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Chibaclov dives in and grabs Lalla's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lalla pushes down on Chibaclov's head and hops out. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Chibaclov has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Lalla keeps the fight on the outside. Lalla closes the distance and clinches. Lalla prevents the takedown attempt.
Lalla is trying to pull guard but Chibaclov turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Chibaclov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lalla uses from the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Lalla's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Chibaclov tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lalla wants to control from the top but Chibaclov keeps moving. Lalla preventing the sweep. Chibaclov is trying to keep Lalla in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. Chibaclov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lalla keeps working. You can see the frustration on Lalla's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lalla tries to buck Chibaclov off but Chibaclov is having none of it. Lalla stops Chibaclov from passing to mount. Chibaclov wants to control but Lalla is keeping him busy. Chibaclov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lalla is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Chibaclov thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Score +2 for reaching mount: Lalla (0) vs (7) Chibaclov The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Chibaclov controlling from mount. Chibaclov looking to control but Lalla is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Lalla reaches up to try and control the position but Chibaclov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Lalla rolls and tries to escape and now Chibaclov has his back!
Score +3 for taking back: Lalla (0) vs (10) Chibaclov Chibaclov is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lalla defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined. Lalla might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Lalla trying to control the hands but Chibaclov won't let him.
