The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Da Silva slaps away a takedown attempt from Phillips, before circling back to the center of the mat. Da Silva seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Phillips throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Da Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Phillips is in Da Silva's guard.
