Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sora Izanagi (ranked 1859 p4p, 3005 weight class) and Dwight Schrute (ranked 237 p4p, 340 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

It seemed like Schrute was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Izanagi throws a head kick but Schrute moves out of range.
Schrute throws out a counter right but Izanagi avoids it with no problem.
Izanagi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Schrute misses with an uppercut
and Izanagi counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Izanagi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Schrute throws out the jab.
Izanagi ducks under a wild hook from Schrute.
Schrute throws a poor cross that misses
and Izanagi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dwight Schrute seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schrute throws a lazy uppercut
and Izanagi counters with a low kick, right behind Schrute 's knee.
Nice defenses there by Izanagi.
Izanagi connects with a single shot there.

Schrute is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Izanagi is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Schrute flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Schrute is out cold! Izanagi holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
