Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Rodney (ranked 4532 p4p, 3379 weight class) and Gabriel Mil (ranked 459 p4p, 378 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Derek Rodney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gabriel Mil!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mil pushes Rodney up against the cage in a clinch.
Mil looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Mil turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mil manages to end up in side control.
Rodney is not content to let Mil control the position.
Mil passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rodney!
Mil tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BOOM! Mil connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mil postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rodney looks a forlorn figure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mil takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mil has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mil is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Rodney goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Mil!
