Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nick Tartle (ranked 24959 p4p, 25261 weight class) and Ralen Tilvur (ranked 548 p4p, 541 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nick Tartle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ralen Tilvur!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tartle fails with an attempt to clinch.
A good leg kick by Tartle.
Tartle moves out of range of the strikes.
Tartle appears to be looking for a big counter.
Tilvur wants to clinch up but Tartle keeps it at a distance.
Tartle uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tilvur.
Tartle just misses with a punch to the body.
Tilvur darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Tilvur takes the fight into the clinch.
Tilvur lands with a right to the head.
A nice left hand lands by Tilvur.
Tilvur lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Tartle scores with a shot to the side of Tilvur's head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Tilvur.

Tartle escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tartle fires out a quick counter leg kick but Tilvur just manages to avoid it.

A telegraphed right hand from Tartle misses the target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tilvur! But no joy.
Tartle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tilvur was well out of range. Poor timing from Tartle.
Tilvur checks a leg kick.
Tilvur dodges the punch combination from Tartle.
Tartle lands a lovely overhand right.
Tilvur drops his hands momentarily and Tartle takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Tartle cracks Tilvur with an open hand slap.
Tartle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tartle there as he acknowledges the shot.
Tartle displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tilvur throws out the jab.
Tilvur shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Tilvur tries to clinch there but Tartle circles away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tartle checks a leg kick.
Tartle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Tartle has Tilvur up against the cage in a clinch.

Tartle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tartle moves out of range as Tilvur strikes.
Tilvur throws a sloppy head kick

and Tartle holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tilvur lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tartle or not.

Tartle fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tilvur.

Tilvur tries to score with a low kick but Tartle moves his leg out of the way.
Tartle was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Tartle breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Tilvur throws a chopping leg kick but Tartle manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Tilvur wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Tartle will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

It looked like Tartle was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tilvur.

Tilvur tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tartle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tilvur fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tartle manages to avoid it.
Tartle lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Ralen Tilvur showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!
