Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Butcher (ranked 1331 p4p, 1363 weight class) and Zé Jiurgite (ranked 164 p4p, 169 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zé Jiurgite!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters circle momentarily. Jiurgite darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jiurgite sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Butcher's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Butcher is refusing to be controlled, as Jiurgite sits in half guard.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jiurgite has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jiurgite and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
