Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Willian Monteiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solano moves into the clinch.
Monteiro gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Solano.

Monteiro has had enough of the clinch but Solano keeps him there for the moment.
Solano jumps into guard, dragging Monteiro to the mat.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Solano looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Solano's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Solano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monteiro gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Solano is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Solano lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Willian Monteiro has been cut.
Solano decides to pull guard.
Solano looking for a guillotine here but Monteiro defends easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Solano is on top in guard.
Solano postures up in Monteiro's guard and throws a big left but Monteiro blocks it.
Monteiro trying to keep a closed guard but Solano is proving a slippery customer.
Solano thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Solano's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Solano won't allow Monteiro to sweep him here.
Solano is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Solano is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Monteiro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Solano is one step ahead there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Solano not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Monteiro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pablo Solano dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Willian Monteiro's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
A big left from Monteiro misses.
Despite the aggression on Solano's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Solano rushes Monteiro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Solano tries for a takedown. No joy.
Solano successfully pulls guard.
Solano tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Monteiro looking to sit in guard and control but Solano gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Monteiro takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Solano has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Monteiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Solano on the ground.
