This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 79 wins and 99 losses; Tobias Pancake! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Hanma takes the fight into the clinch. Hanma gets control of Pancake's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hanma will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Hanma throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hanma lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Hanma (2) vs (0) Pancake Hanma won't allow Pancake to sweep him here. Hanma thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pancake keeping moving, preventing Hanma from controlling successfully. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pancake can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hanma being controlled here momentarily. Hanma slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Score +3 for passing guard: Hanma (5) vs (0) Pancake Pancake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanma. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pancake is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanma tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanma has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pancake is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hanma off and has taken his back! Score +4 for clean sweep to past guard: Hanma (5) vs (4) Pancake The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hanma trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Pancake is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hanma is defending well though. Pancake let's go of the attempt for now. Hanma is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Pancake gets his way!
Pancake is looking to control Hanma but Hanma is wriggling around and keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pancake might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hanma haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Hanma rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Hanma quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pancake has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Hanma celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
