Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damien Karras (ranked 3241 p4p, 3740 weight class) and Josue Everett (ranked 252 p4p, 278 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damien Karras!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josue Everett!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Everett.
Everett swings for the body but Karras moves out of range.
Karras connects with the punch.
Everett on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Everett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Karras.
A little feinted left hand from Karras on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Karras tests Everett's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Josue Everett has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Karras. Everett does a little dance to reset his feet.
Everett feints the counter takedown.
Donk. Karras catches Everett right on the button with a cross.
Everett is looking to clinch but Karras is avoiding it.
Karras definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Karras misses with a double jab.
Everett tries to clinch up but Karras circles away and keeps his distance.
Everett takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karras dips to his left and cracks Everett with an uppercut!

Everett is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Everett throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Karras is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
A punch combination from Everett misses.
It looked like Karras wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Everett wants to clinch up but Karras keeps it at a distance.
Everett takes one to the side of the head.
Everett is still on wobbly legs! Can Karras finish him?
Karras slaps away a takedown attempt from Everett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Karras throws an overhand right that drops Everett like a sack of potatoes! Karras dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damien Karras!
An out of breath Damien Karras thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
