Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marius Dabija (ranked 4881 p4p, 5358 weight class) and German Walker (ranked 314 p4p, 326 weight class). Dabija's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hajime no Ippo Intro 3. Marius Dabija has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marius Dabija! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, German Walker! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dabija closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Walker's guard. Walker controlling the position. Walker keeping full guard, as Dabija tries to pass. Walker looking to control.
Dabija is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Dabija trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's one minute gone in the round. Walker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dabija defends it easily. Walker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dabija's guard. Dabija is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Walker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dabija looking to hit a scissor sweep but Walker is one step ahead there. Dabija looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dabija swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dabija tries to land a sweep but no joy. Dabija keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully. Dabija is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well. Dabija is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dabija working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Dabija has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dabija tries to buck Walker off but Walker is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Marius Dabija will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dabija is defended easily by Walker. Dabija shoots in for a takedown but Walker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice sprawl there from Walker as Dabija shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marius Dabija. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dabija looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Walker manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Walker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dabija haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Walker looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Dabija thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Dabija looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Dabija trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dabija shoots for a takedown but Walker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Walker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Dabija wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position. Dabija advances position into side control! Walker is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dabija off and has taken his back! Walker looking for the choke from the back. Dabija tries to escape the position.

Walker has his foot on Dabija's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dabija works his way back into a safe position though. Dabija engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Dabija wants to pass the guard but Walker is keeping the position. Dabija sitting in guard here, content to control.

Walker is trying to control the position but Dabija postures up. Walker tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker wants to get back to his feet but Dabija is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Dabija sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walker's guard. Dabija is keen to just control but Walker is a slippery customer. Dabija seems to be working for a kimura but Walker defends the submission attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Marius Dabija will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round! Dabija fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Walker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Dabija has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Walker is working away from the top position though. Dabija looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. The fight moves into the clinch position. Dabija drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walker gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Dabija throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Walker escapes and throws Dabija's legs to the side, diving into side control! German Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Walker cracks Dabija with a big right hand but Dabija just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
And that's the end of the fight! German Walker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dabija has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
