De Luca closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
De Luca is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, John has escaped the position, nice work there.
De Luca lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Luca lands some shots froms side control.
John wants to control but De Luca postures up.
De Luca has hold of John's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! John tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - De Luca cranks the arm and John screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from John, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
