Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Dosantos (ranked 2900 p4p, 4140 weight class) and Daryl King (ranked 0 p4p, 435 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dosantos fails in his attempt to clinch.
King lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
King misses with a lunging right hand
and Dosantos connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Dosantos shoots for a takedown but King saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
King closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Dosantos counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
King looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dosantos throws a big counter combination but King scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
King fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dosantos checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Dosantos went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

King misses with a shot to the body
and Dosantos counters with a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Dosantos lands a nice looking body shot.
A nice inside leg kick there by Dosantos. That's going to slow King down.
Dosantos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
King leaves Dosantos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
King is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Dosantos counters with a thumping low kick.

King scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dosantos blocks a jab.
Dosantos looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? King is fending him off so far but Dosantos persists. Nope, King circles away and we're back to standing.
King lands an overhand right.
King throws a right and a left that both miss.

Dosantos bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
King looks winded!
King looking for a sweep but Dosantos has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Dosantos has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of King's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dosantos connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dosantos is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Dosantos extends the arm and King is forced to tap!
