Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Frost (ranked 41 p4p, 850 weight class) and Luke Ridley (ranked 7 p4p, 92 weight class). Frost comes to the cage accompanied by Procreation (of the Wicked). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eric Frost! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Luke Ridley! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ridley throws a combination that misses and Frost counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ridley is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Frost trying to control but Ridley is working from the bottom. Frost slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Frost trying to control the action but Ridley is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ridley, who protects the arm well. Frost definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Ridley gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frost wants to free his trapped foot but Ridley is holding on for dear life with his legs. Frost is looking for a kimura here.
Ridley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ridley trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Frost manages to pass to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Frost wants to control the pace but Ridley is squirming around nicely. Frost sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Frost is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Frost extends the arm and Ridley is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Eric Frost! Eric Frost retains his lightweight title! After winning the bout, Eric Frost thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
