Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eja Igwe!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Igwe misses with an uppercut. Callixtus saw that one coming.
Igwe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Igwe displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Callixtus throws out the jab.
Igwe misses with a hook.
Callixtus appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Callixtus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Igwe under the eye.
Igwe lands the left hand.
Callixtus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Igwe was well out of range. Poor timing from Callixtus.
Igwe moves out of range as Callixtus strikes.
Callixtus goes for a double leg but Igwe avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Igwe continues to drive forward.
Callixtus drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Igwe gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Callixtus can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pope Callixtus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Igwe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Callixtus has him pressed against the cage.

Callixtus is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Igwe pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Igwe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Igwe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
A jab from Igwe misses.
Callixtus keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Igwe.

and Igwe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Igwe connects with a high kick.
A slow jab from Callixtus misses its intended target.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Igwe! But no joy.
The crowd cheers as Igwe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Callixtus doesn't seem phased though.

Igwe lands a big uppercut and Callixtus crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Callixtus looks OK. Igwe waves Callixtus back to his feet!

Callixtus leaves his chin hanging out and Igwe seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Callixtus crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
