Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Hippo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eli Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn closes the distance but Hippo moves to the side
and Hippo counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Vaughn thinking.
Vaughn is looking to clinch but Hippo is avoiding it.
Hippo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hippo can't keep his opponent in guard - Vaughn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Vaughn prevents Hippo from improving his position.
Vaughn lands strikes from half guard.
It looks like King Hippo has been cut.
Hippo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hippo tries to get out of the position.
Vaughn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vaughn keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Hippo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Vaughn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Hippo is trying to get back to full guard.
Vaughn slips a nice elbow through Hippo's hands, connecting with Hippo's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ground and pound from Vaughn.
Vaughn lands with a punch from half guard.
Hippo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vaughn on the ground.
Vaughn moves nicely into side control.
Hippo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Vaughn lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hippo down.
King Hippo's cut is getting worse.
Hippo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
King Hippo's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Vaughn scoring with punches and elbows.
Jeez, King Hippo's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at King Hippo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
