Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ola Badmus (ranked 1604 p4p, 1422 weight class) and Donovan Sharpe (ranked 210 p4p, 189 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ola Badmus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donovan Sharpe!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sharpe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Sharpe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Badmus looks to move to half guard but instead Sharpe has passed into mount! Damn!
Sharpe trying to control but Badmus is having none of it.
Badmus is looking to improve his position but Sharpe isn't that keen on the idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Badmus manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Badmus tries to get to full guard but Sharpe has control of the leg.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sharpe working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Sharpe is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Badmus sees it coming and defends easily.

Sharpe is nestled in close to Badmus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Sharpe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Badmus napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Badmus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sharpe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Badmus is not content to let Sharpe control the position.
Sharpe lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Badmus down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donovan Sharpe has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sharpe working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Badmus with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sharpe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sharpe rushes Badmus and presses him up against the cage.
Badmus is trying to force a seperation but Sharpe has the dominant position.
Sharpe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Sharpe has Badmus pressed against the cage, preventing Badmus from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Sharpe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Badmus fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Donovan Sharpe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Sharpe doesn't manage to clinch there - Badmus circles away.
Sharpe gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Badmus.
Badmus swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sharpe avoids the head kick by Badmus.
Sharpe is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Badmus throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Sharpe colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Badmus as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Sharpe is left battered and dazed whilst Badmus and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ola Badmus!
After the fight, Ola Badmus was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
