Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cactus Jack (ranked 3039 p4p, 2263 weight class) and Elton Sparks (ranked 355 p4p, 270 weight class). Cactus Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Cactus Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Elton Sparks!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jack shoots in and bounces Sparks off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Sparks looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jack is working Sparks over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jack wants to control from the top but Sparks keeps moving.
Jack wants to pass the guard but Sparks is keeping the position.
Sparks pulls Jack in to control the position.
Sparks keeping full guard, as Jack tries to pass.
Jack postures up in Sparks's guard and throws a big left but Sparks blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jack cracks Sparks with a solid left hand.
Sparks wants to sweep but no luck.
Jack trying to control the position from guard on top but Sparks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jack missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jack has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sparks controlling Jack's posture.

Jack lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sparks seems keen to control Jack's posture.
Sparks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sparks looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Jack thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Jack slips nicely into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sparks can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jack thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sparks's head.
Jack is taking a breather. Sparks says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jack is thwarting Sparks's attempts to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sparks makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Sparks.
Jack is looking to work some ground and pound but Sparks has wrist control.
Jack stands and throws Sparks's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jack in side control lands a decent elbow.
Jack working the strikes but Sparks uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Jack is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Jack is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Jack working the head and body with strikes.

Jack is trying to work for a kimura but Sparks is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sparks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jack lands strikes from half guard.
Jack winds up and cracks Sparks with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Jack is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sparks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jack.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jack lands a nice short elbow.
Jack wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sparks keeps working.
Sparks avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jack.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jack works his way into full mount!
Sparks tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Jack looking to finish Sparks with some ground and pound. This is bad for Sparks!
Jack avoids the attempt from Sparks to control.

Jack moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Sparks has worked his arm free - good work by Sparks!
Jack throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Sparks tries to bench press Jack off him but Jack keeps the position.
Jack advances to full mount.
Jack lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's five minutes gone in the round.

Jack has control of Sparks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sparks regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sparks tries to lock up and control but Jack gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Jack putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Jack is landing with some decent strikes but Sparks is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Jack postures up and throws a massive shot that knocks Sparks out cold! Two more strikes to his unconscious opponent for good luck and this one is all over! Jack goes absolutely crazy with his corner! Wow, you can see how much that win means to him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Cactus Jack!
Elton Sparks spoke after the fight, saying 'No worries, I just wanted to see what showed up in my TOTT!'.
