Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Boston (ranked 2117 p4p, 2446 weight class) and Kotetsu Yama (ranked 175 p4p, 203 weight class). Clarence Boston could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kotetsu Yama's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Clarence Boston! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kotetsu Yama! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yama blocks a jab. Boston throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've been informed that Yama has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Boston takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Boston slips under a jab. Boston is looking to counter punch. Boston throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yama sees it coming and avoids it easily. Yama misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Boston throws a hook to the side of Yama's head but Yama sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Boston on the wrong end of a nice hook. Yama throws a jab when Boston was well out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Boston misses the jab. Boston keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Boston dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Yama misses with a combination
and Boston makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yama looks to throw the jab but Boston is out of range. Yama lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boston throws a right and a left that both miss. Yama throws a lazy uppercut
and Boston counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kotetsu Yama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Boston avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Yama misses with a jab to the body
letting Boston counter with a right hand. Yama misses the jab. And Boston counters with a quick kick to the body but Yama blocks it. Yama pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Boston keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nice defenses there by Yama. Yama tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Boston uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yama. Boston avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boston misses with a double jab.
Yama throws an off balance right hand
enabling Boston to counter with a crisp jab. Boston lands with an uppercut that bounces Yama off the cage and back into range. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yama scores with a crisp jab that stopped Boston in his tracks. Yama lands a nice shot to the body.
Yama uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Boston.
Boston lands a left and a right that send Yama crashing to the mat, dazed. Boston thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Yama is rocked! Yama tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boston was well out of range. Poor timing from Yama. Yama is still on wobbly legs! Can Boston finish him? Boston drops Yama with a naaaaasty hook - Yama is in real trouble here! Boston dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Clarence Boston! Clarence Boston spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
