PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Suade Loc (ranked 25355 p4p, 5658 weight class) and Jonah Morah (ranked 387 p4p, 348 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Suade Loc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jonah Morah!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Loc tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morah manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nice jab there from Morah.
Good work by Loc as he checks the leg kick.
Morah fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Morah goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Loc moves into the clinch.
Loc prevents the takedown attempt.
Loc drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Morah gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Morah is trying to pull guard but Loc has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Morah drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Suade Loc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonah Morah.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice right hand lands inside from Loc.
Morah has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Loc after a bit of a struggle.
Morah tries for a takedown but Loc manages to get underhooks.
Morah fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Loc is pressed up against the cage. Morah has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Loc down to the mat. Loc avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Morah throws a head kick that misses.

Loc manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Morah on his heels. He'll look to pass Morah's guard now, I'm sure.

Loc passes Morah's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Loc wants to work for an arm triangle but Morah is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Loc is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Loc has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Loc looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Loc is trying to work for a kimura but Morah is defending well.
Morah is trying to stand.
Loc perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Loc is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Loc is controlling the pace.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Loc throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Loc is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Loc wants to lay and pray for a moment but Morah keeps working.
Morah taking some punishment here, with Loc in his half guard.
Morah is staying active underneath Loc, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Loc is nestled in close to Morah, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Loc is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Morah doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Loc.
Morah is refusing to be controlled, as Loc sits in half guard.

Loc is working for a kimura but Morah is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Morah actively working from the bottom here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Suade Loc dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Loc darts in and clinches Morah up against the cage.
Loc is looking for a takedown.

Loc has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Morah is trying to keep an underhook but Loc manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Loc throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Loc wants to control but Morah is keeping him busy.
Morah moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Loc sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Morah's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Loc is trying to control. Morah wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morah is looking for a sweep. Loc is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Morah moves into full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Loc sitting in guard here, content to control.
Loc's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Loc stands and throws Morah's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Loc is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Morah is trying to escape and Loc transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Morah is forced to tap! Nice work there by Loc! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Suade Loc!
Suade Loc looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Thanks to everyone that came out tonight shout-out my team thank you to family I love you all get ready for next W'.
