Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Baroza (ranked 553 p4p, 778 weight class) and Mike Miami (ranked 41 p4p, 66 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jorge Baroza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Miami!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baroza staying out of range there.
The fighters circle momentarily. Miami darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Baroza displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Miami throws out the jab.
A little feinted left hand from Baroza on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Miami waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Baroza.

Baroza takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Miami's coach down at Freaky Fight Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Miami's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Miami lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Baroza shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

It looked like Baroza wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Miami lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baroza circles away quickly and effectively.
A quick step to the side and Baroza tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Baroza might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
