Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Maurelli (ranked 4176 p4p, 4223 weight class) and Roldopho Michel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maurelli kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Emergence. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michel takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Michel walks into a left hand.
Michel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Maurelli was well out of range. Poor timing from Michel.
Maurelli cracks Michel with an open hand slap.
Maurelli jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Maurelli catches Michel with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Maurelli lands with an overhand left.
Maurelli lands with an uppercut that bounces Michel off the cage and back into range.

and Michel counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Maurelli has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Michel doesn't defend quickly enough and Maurelli has managed to lock this one up! Can Michel escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Maurelli on a fantastic submission victory.
