Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Castillo (ranked 2057 p4p, 3071 weight class) and Putte Possu (ranked 176 p4p, 244 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Putte Possu!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castillo drives through and clinches with Possu against the cage.
Castillo lands a body punch.
Possu successfully pulls guard.
Possu not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Castillo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Possu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Possu tries to pass the half guard into mount. Castillo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Possu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Castillo is refusing to be controlled, as Possu sits in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Castillo tries to roll over but Possu keeps him under control.

Castillo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Castillo is controlling Possu's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Possu is taking a breather. Castillo says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Possu works his way into side control.
Castillo manages to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castillo looking for submissions off his back.
Possu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Castillo keeps working.

Castillo definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Possu looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castillo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Possu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Possu's back!
Castillo looking to break Possu's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Possu remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Castillo will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Castillo's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Castillo looking for the choke but no joy.
Possu looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Possu might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Castillo haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Castillo is working the ground and pound. Can Possu escape?
A lull in the action here.
Castillo throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Possu!
Castillo punishes Possu with strikes from the back mount.
The referee is taking a good look at Possu as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Castillo!
Possu is trying to break free.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Castillo lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castillo scores with punches and elbows.
Possu is rocked!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Castillo dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Castillo scores with a body shot.
Possu misses with a leg kick.
Donk. Castillo catches Possu right on the button with a cross.
Possu is still on wobbly legs! Can Castillo finish him?
Possu misses with a lunging right hand
and Castillo counters with a nice body shot.
Castillo steps in with a hook that catches Possu right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Castillo follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Possu looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Castillo!
Richard Castillo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
