Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gakus Amiga (ranked 23978 p4p, 23793 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 40 - 60 - 6, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gakus Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 47 - 58 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Salvacion has a takedown stuffed. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Salvacion shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Amiga defends it nicely. It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there. Gakus Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salvacion to the mat! Salvacion manages to get full guard. Salvacion has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Amiga controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salvacion seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Amiga is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Amiga with a poor takedown and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Amiga shrugs it off. Amiga shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Salvacion defends it nicely. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Salvacion shoots in for a takedown but Amiga shows good takedown defense. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Amiga looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Salvacion is fending him off so far but Amiga persists. Nope, Salvacion circles away and we're back to standing. Salvacion steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Gakus Amiga dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amiga defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Amiga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Amiga went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Salvacion looking to score a takedown here. Amiga is defending well but Salvacion drives through and ends up in Amiga's guard. Salvacion stopping the sweep attempt from Amiga. Amiga is adopting a defensive guard. Amiga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salvacion is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga seems keen to control Salvacion's posture. Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Amiga can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Salvacion controls the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. No luck with that takedown attempt from Amiga. A momentary lapse in concentration from Salvacion enables Amiga to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Salvacion manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga sitting in guard, not really doing much. Salvacion is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Amiga is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Salvacion can do to turn this around?

Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Amiga is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. A close second round but Richard John Salvacion will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Amiga misses with a takedown attempt - Salvacion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Salvacion let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Salvacion is trying hard to land a takedown here. Amiga sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Salvacion is looking to take a break and control but Amiga is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Amiga trying to control from the bottom.
Amiga is looking for a sweep. Salvacion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Salvacion with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Amiga explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Amiga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Salvacion looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Amiga trying to control the action but Salvacion is working from the bottom. Salvacion tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Amiga wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amiga wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Salvacion, who protects the arm well. Salvacion is looking to regain half guard here but Amiga keeps moving and retains side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is trying to control Amiga's posture but Amiga avoids it.
And that's the end of the fight! Gakus Amiga showed his dominance in that final round. Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
