Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc (ranked 3949 p4p, 4170 weight class) and Marcel Petty (ranked 255 p4p, 0 weight class). Tlaloc's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Llamado de Huitzilopochtli. Marcel Petty has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcel Petty!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tlaloc is defended easily by Petty.
Some wild striking there from Tlaloc.
And Petty tries to counter it with a takedown but Tlaloc pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Tlaloc closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Petty's guard.

Petty is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Petty wants a takedown.
Petty fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Petty has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tlaloc is trying to keep an underhook but Petty manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Tlaloc really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Petty can do anything to dispel that myth.

Petty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tlaloc. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Petty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Petty is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Tlaloc presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

That was a close round but I would say that Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc will probably get the nod.

Petty lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Petty doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tlaloc counters with a nice uppercut.

Tlaloc shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petty napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Petty sneaks out the side door and pushes Tlaloc away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Tlaloc throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Petty's waist but Petty gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tlaloc off to one side.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Petty has managed to clinch.
Petty just leaning against Tlaloc, taking a breather.
Tlaloc drops down looking for an ankle pick but Petty pulls his leg out and moves away.
Tlaloc shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Petty but Petty pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Petty winds up and cracks Tlaloc with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Petty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tlaloc keeps working.

Petty tries to close the distance and clinch but Tlaloc swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Petty tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tlaloc wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Tlaloc cracks Petty with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Quetzalcoatl Tlaloc spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
