Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luffy San (ranked 4067 p4p, 2888 weight class) and Rome Sanders (ranked 396 p4p, 229 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanders pushes San up against the cage in a clinch.
San jumps guard but Sanders stands there with San around his waist. San gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sanders misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Sanders looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
San makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

San is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sanders is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells San's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

San has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

San working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Sanders's head.
Sanders has his hands on San's head, controlling the position.

San drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sanders manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now San has Sanders in his guard.

Sanders not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
San is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. San connects with a nice short shot to Sanders's temple.

San seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Sanders is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
