The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arobieke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Slaissi throws out the jab.

and Arobieke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Slaissi's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Slaissi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Arobieke is pushing down on Slaissi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Slaissi is fighting to maintain full guard but Arobieke has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Slaissi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Arobieke.
Arobieke is trying to control the action in half guard but Slaissi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Slaissi throws a lazy right hand but Arobieke sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Slaissi stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

and Arobieke counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Arobieke is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Arobieke takes one to the chin there.
Slaissi misses with a hook.
Slaissi throws a big shot that misses.
Arobieke was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Arobieke scores with a sloppy right hand. Slaissi should have avoided that one.

and Arobieke counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Slaissi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Arobieke ducks under a wild hook from Slaissi.
Slaissi lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Slaissi misses with an uppercut
and Arobieke makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Arobieke seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Slaissi takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Slaissi throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Arobieke counter with a right hand.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Slaissi looks to land a left hand but Arobieke moved out of range nicely.

and Arobieke counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Arobieke slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Slaissi lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Slaissi looking to sit in guard and control but Arobieke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

The crowd cheers as Arobieke lands an impressive looking overhand right. Slaissi doesn't seem phased though.
Slaissi throws a looping overhand right but Arobieke ducks down to avoid it.
Slaissi moves out of range as Arobieke strikes.
Slaissi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Slaissi lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Kimbo Slaissi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slaissi swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Arobieke takes one on the chin but seems OK.

letting Arobieke counter with a right hand.
Arobieke uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Slaissi.
