Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Asian Guy (ranked 688 p4p, 1450 weight class) and Minor Cuevas (ranked 98 p4p, 201 weight class). Guy comes to the cage accompanied by Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Minor Cuevas enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Asian Guy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Minor Cuevas! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Donald Grub and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuevas throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cuevas is trying to break the clinch but Guy has him pressed against the cage. Guy misses with a hook to the ribs.
Cuevas blocks a body shot from Guy. Cuevas is trying to break the clinch but Guy is controlling him. Guy tries to throw a body punch but Cuevas avoids it by throwing Guy back against the cage. Guy misses with a body punch.
Guy lands a nice shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Guy lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Guy misses with a hook from the clinch. Cuevas tries to circle away but Guy has him pinned against the cage. A short right from Guy. Cuevas wants to break free but Guy has control.
Cuevas is looking to break free of the clinch but Guy has double underhooks. Guy swings away with an uppercut that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. A frustrated look appears on Cuevas's face as he tries to break the clinch. Guy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Guy misses with a punch on the inside.
Guy throws a punch but it's blocked by Cuevas. Guy manages to pull guard.
Guy not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Guy manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cuevas manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cuevas is trying to keep Guy in close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cuevas can do anything to dispel that myth. Guy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cuevas swivels though and keeps the full guard. Guy passes Cuevas's left leg - he's now in half guard. Guy sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Guy's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Cuevas tries to kick Guy off but Guy keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Guy controlling the action here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Guy is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cuevas looks like he's trying to stand up.
Guy is looking for a kimura here.
Guy is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cuevas defends it well. Guy is trying to control the action in half guard but Cuevas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We've been informed that Cuevas has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Guy is working for a submission of some sort.
Guy is trying to control. Cuevas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Cuevas is in trouble now - Guy has advanced to mount! Guy looking for a guillotine from mount but Cuevas is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Guy controlling the position easily from mount. Guy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cuevas manages to avoid the submission attempt. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Asian Guy dominated that round. That's time! Guy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The fighters circling - Cuevas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Guy moves out of range as Cuevas strikes. Cuevas lands a glancing blow to the side of Guy's head. Guy is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Guy on the wrong end of a nice jab. Guy has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Guy slips under a jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A cross from Cuevas lands. Cuevas keeps the fight on the outside. Cuevas looks to land a right hand but Guy moved out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Guy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Cuevas lands a jab to the nose. Cuevas misses with a straight right. Cuevas pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Cuevas throws a hook but Guy blocks it. Cuevas misses with a straight right. Cuevas looks to land a right hand but Guy moved out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuevas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Guy closes the distance and clinches. Cuevas is trying to break the clinch but Guy is controlling him. Guy fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Guy tries to pull guard but Cuevas won't allow it.
Guy drags the fight down to the ground.
Guy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cuevas is one step ahead there. Cuevas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Guy's guard. Guy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cuevas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Guy is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Cuevas rolls with it to try and escape but Guy cranks on the arm and Cuevas is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
