Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ekon Ogunkoya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Tung!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tung takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ogunkoya lands with a right hand.
A shot to the body from Ogunkoya misses

and Tung counters with a left hand that sends Ogunkoya to the canvas!

It looks like Ekon Ogunkoya has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ogunkoya throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ogunkoya has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tung throws an elbow that misses. Ogunkoya uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tung's guard. Nice move by Ogunkoya!

Ogunkoya slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Tung can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ogunkoya controls the pace.
Tung tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Tung wants to stand and escape but Ogunkoya is having none of it.

Tung will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Tung throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ogunkoya escapes and throws Tung's legs to the side, diving into side control!

and Tung counters with a stiff right hand.
Ogunkoya throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Tung throws out a counter right but Ogunkoya avoids it with no problem.

Ogunkoya lands a left and a right that send Tung crashing to the mat, dazed. Ogunkoya thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Ekon Ogunkoya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ogunkoya shoots in for a double leg but Tung sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ogunkoya is breathing heavily.

Ogunkoya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tung moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tung looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Ogunkoya misses with a two punch combination.
Ogunkoya lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ogunkoya.
Tung has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Tung is still on wobbly legs! Can Ogunkoya finish him?
Tung avoids the body shot from Ogunkoya.
It seemed like Tung was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Ogunkoya throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ogunkoya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Tung seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ogunkoya throws a predictable looking body shot
and Tung scores with a counter punch that sends Ogunkoya to the canvas! Tung smells blood - he's punishing Ogunkoya with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Ogunkoya has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Daniel Tung!
