Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tucker Mora! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jorden Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mora closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ochoa did well to prevent Mora getting side control. Ochoa is looking for a sweep. Mora is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Mora works his way into full mount! Mora with a couple of short strikes. Mora wants to finish this one by submission but Ochoa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mora. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mora working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mora wants to control the pace but Ochoa is squirming around nicely. Mora putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Mora throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Mora is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ochoa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mora lands a nice shot to the head. Mora working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Ochoa turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Mora off and cradles Ochoa's limp body as Mora celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Tucker Mora!
