Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spring Time (ranked 4182 p4p, 4181 weight class) and Chase Carroll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spring Time!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chase Carroll!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carroll circles away from the clinch attempt.
Time tries to clinch there but Carroll circles away.
Carroll with the counter takedown but Time avoids it easily.
Carroll finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Carroll bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Time's head backwards.
Carroll takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Time gets caught napping as Carroll dives in and scores a takedown. Time manages to retain guard.
Time keeping moving, preventing Carroll from controlling successfully.
Carroll seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Carroll wants to control from the top but Time keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Time is looking to stand up but Carroll isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Time is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carroll is controlling him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Time enables Carroll to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Time manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Carroll looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Carroll wants to control from the top but Time keeps moving.
Carroll with a flurry of punches that miss.

Time pushes Carroll off but Carroll dives into side control.

Carroll throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Time because Carroll loaded up on that one.

Time is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Time is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Carroll looking to ground and pound but Time is blocking nicely.
Carroll takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Carroll has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As Carroll looks to move away, Time throws a big counter combo but Carroll just gets out of the way.

Carroll feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Carroll has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
