Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nirmal Singh (ranked 3350 p4p, 4418 weight class) and Oisin Nolan (ranked 334 p4p, 0 weight class). Oisin Nolan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Nirmal Singh's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nirmal Singh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Oisin Nolan! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Singh looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Nolan trying to hold on to Singh's head to control him but Singh postures up.
Singh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Nolan actively working from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh tries to stand but can't do so whilst Nolan controls his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Singh is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Singh is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Nolan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Nolan is trying to escape back to his feet but Singh uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Singh moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Singh is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nolan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Singh tries to stand but Nolan is controlling his head. Singh controlling the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Singh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fight stays on the outside here - Nolan looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nolan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Singh avoids it really well and circles away. Nolan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Singh is fending him off so far but Nolan persists. Nope, Singh circles away and we're back to standing. Nolan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Singh paws at him with a jab and circles away. Singh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nolan's half guard. Nolan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Singh keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Singh tries to score a body lock takedown but Nolan shows good agility there to stay on his feet. We've been informed that Nolan has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Singh on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Singh jumps guard but Nolan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Singh tries to pull guard but Nolan won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nirmal Singh. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nolan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Singh walks away with a smile on his face. Nolan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Singh closes the distance and clinches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nolan fails to pull guard.
Singh is looking for a takedown. Singh changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nolan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Nolan is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Singh is breathing heavily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nolan wants to clinch up but Singh keeps it at a distance. Singh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nolan. Singh has managed to clinch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Nirmal Singh dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Nolan tries for a takedown but Singh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Singh as Nolan shoots in. Nolan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Singh tries to avoid it but Nolan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Singh to the ground. Singh escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nirmal Singh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oisin Nolan. Singh feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Nolan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nolan looking for a guillotine here but Singh defends easily.
Nolan has a closed guard, preventing Singh from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Singh would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Singh has gone for a leg lock! Nolan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Singh's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Singh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Nolan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nolan. Singh engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Singh is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nolan can do to turn this around? Nolan pulls Singh in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nolan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Singh circles away. Singh closes the distance and clinches. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Singh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nolan closes the distance looking to clinch and Singh counters with a shoot takedown. Nolan fights it but they end up in guard. Singh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Singh's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Singh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice takedown defense from Singh. No joy for Nolan on that attempt. Singh darts in and clinches Nolan up against the cage. Singh is working for takedown but Nolan is calmly controlling the position for now. Nirmal Singh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Singh jumps guard but Nolan stands there with Singh around his waist. Singh gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Singh is pulling down on Nolan's head. It's preventing any offense from Nolan, at least for the moment. Nolan stands and throws Singh's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Singh holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. Nolan swings around for an armbar but Singh sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Nolan's guard. Nolan wants to stand up but Singh is controlling him. Singh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nolan controls Singh momentarily but Singh frees himself. Oisin Nolan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Singh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Nirmal Singh showed his dominance in that final round. Well Singh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
