This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 31 losses; Domingo The Flamingo! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 22 wins and 18 losses; Trip Fontaine! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. The Flamingo moves into range and clinches up with Fontaine. The Flamingo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: The Flamingo (2) vs (0) Fontaine The Flamingo controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. The Flamingo looking to pass the guard. Fontaine wants to sweep here but The Flamingo controlling him for the moment. The Flamingo wants to pass the guard but Fontaine is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fontaine controls The Flamingo momentarily but The Flamingo frees himself. The Flamingo preventing the sweep.

Fontaine is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fontaine is looking to regain half guard here but The Flamingo keeps moving and retains side control. Fontaine gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The Flamingo is controlling the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo prevents Fontaine from improving his position. Fontaine trying to control from the bottom.
Fontaine wants to improve his position but The Flamingo is controlling well.
The Flamingo wants to take a breather but Fontaine is having none of it.

Fontaine keeping moving, preventing The Flamingo from controlling successfully. The Flamingo tries to free his leg and advance position but Fontaine is retaining full guard. Fontaine is trying to control the position but The Flamingo postures up. The Flamingo advances position into side control! That's six minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The Flamingo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. The Flamingo wants to control from the top but Fontaine keeps moving. Fontaine has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think The Flamingo should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Fontaine has tightened it up now! The Flamingo should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
