With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gaston Messier!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Hugh Johnson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messier doesn't manage to clinch there - Bengtsson circles away.
Bengtsson is looking to counter punch.
Oooh a lovely combination from Bengtsson sends Messier down but not out. Bengtsson dives into side control looking to finish.
Messier is rocked!
Messier tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bengtsson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Messier is still in real trouble! Can Bengtsson finish him?
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Bengtsson controls the position from side control.
Bengtsson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Bengtsson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Bengtsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Messier seems to have recovered his senses.
Messier gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Messier wants to hold on but Bengtsson pushes him away.
Bengtsson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Messier is looking to get to half guard.
Messier tries to control the position but Bengtsson now has his back.
Bengtsson controlling from the back.

Messier won't enjoy being in this position. Bengtsson looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Messier is tapping - it's over boys! Bengtsson picks up the submission victory!
