Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yawa Kiang (ranked 23995 p4p, 23933 weight class) and Way Nada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yawa Kiang is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 37 - 68 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yawa Kiang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 52 - 53 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Way Nada! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Nada shoots in and gets a takedown into Kiang's guard. Kiang seems keen to control Nada's posture. Nada is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kiang not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiang is pulling down on Nada's head. It's preventing any offense from Nada, at least for the moment. Nada stopping the sweep attempt from Kiang. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiang working a defensive guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nada shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nada shoots in and drives through. Kiang sprawls well. Kiang thinks about countering with a body kick. Kiang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nada's waist but Nada gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kiang off to one side. Nada tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kiang fails to land the takedown. Nada changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Kiang scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Nada tries to bench press Kiang off him but Kiang keeps the position. You can see the frustration on Nada's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiang trying to control the position but Nada is working away. Nada wants to control but Kiang postures up. Nada is looking to regain half guard here but Kiang keeps moving and retains side control. Nada struggling a bit here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nada gets caught flat footed, as Kiang shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kiang controls from within his opponent's guard. Nada has control of Kiang's left arm, preventing Kiang from doing any damage. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Yawa Kiang dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! A head kick misses from Kiang. Nada is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Kiang with a body shot. Kiang changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nada tries to avoid it but Kiang manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nada to the ground. Nada escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nada scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kiang is trying to escape the position but Nada is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kiang throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nada tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kiang is in Nada's guard. Kiang stays in close to Nada's body and controls the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nada holds on and takes a little breather. Kiang controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yawa Kiang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nada is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Nada is continuing to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kiang shoots for a takedown but Nada saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nada thinks about the counter body kick. Nada shoots in looking for a takedown but Kiang manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nada's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Nada fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kiang avoids it really well and circles away. Kiang quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Way Nada showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Kiang throws a half hearted mid kick. Nada fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kiang to the ground. Nada is now in Kiang's guard. Nada postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kiang keeping moving, preventing Nada from controlling successfully. Kiang is trying to keep Nada in close.

That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The adventures of Nada the control monster continue. Boring.

Nada closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kiang circles away. Kiang lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Kiang drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kiang content to stall in guard here. Nada wants to sweep here but Kiang controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nada managing to control the position. Kiang is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Kiang trying to control the position from guard on top but Nada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nada is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Nada pulls Kiang in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nada shoots in but no luck this time. Kiang throws a quick counter head kick but Nada was just out of range. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nada gets caught flat footed, as Kiang shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kiang makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Yawa Kiang showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kiang has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
