The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tysoon misses with a series of wild punches.
Gracie tries to clinch up.

Tysoon looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
Michael Tysoon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tysoon misses with a few strikes there.
Tysoon misses the shot to the body.
Tysoon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Gracie has a takedown stuffed.

Tysoon swats away the attempt to clinch by Gracie.

Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tysoon pinned against the cage. Tysoon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Gracie looking to sit in guard and control but Tysoon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gracie is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Tysoon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tysoon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tysoon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
