Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Adam Jr (ranked 2828 p4p, 3010 weight class) and Sato Ngata (ranked 335 p4p, 358 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Adam Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sato Ngata!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adam Jr fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ngata is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Adam Jr rushes Ngata and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ngata is pressed up against the cage. Adam Jr has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ngata down to the mat. Ngata avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ngata uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ngata stuffs the takedown attempt from Adam Jr. Adam Jr gets slowly back to his feet.

Ngata moves into the clinch successfully.
The referee calls for Ngata to work.
Ngata tries a knee to the head but Adam Jr blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ngata turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ngata manages to end up in side control.

Ngata is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Adam Jr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Sato Ngata dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Adam Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Ngata moves out of range easily.

Adam Jr shoots in looking for a takedown. Ngata tries to sprawl out of it but Adam Jr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ngata manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Well Ngata has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
