Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francisco Tovar (ranked 3403 p4p, 2882 weight class) and Kamil Khadziev (ranked 335 p4p, 290 weight class). Francisco Tovar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Kamil Khadziev's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Francisco Tovar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kamil Khadziev!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khadziev looking to score a takedown here. Tovar is defending well but Khadziev drives through and ends up in Tovar's guard.
Tovar is trying to control the position but Khadziev postures up.
Tovar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Tovar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tovar is breathing heavily.
Khadziev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Let's hope that Khadziev has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Khadziev.

Kamil Khadziev seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Khadziev feints and as Tovar raises his hands in defense, Khadziev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Khadziev must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Tovar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Khadziev controls the pace.

Tovar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Khadziev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tovar tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Khadziev is in Tovar's guard.

Tovar bucks up and tries to throw Khadziev off but instead Khadziev has got his back!

Khadziev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Tovar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khadziev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khadziev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Tovar can't keep his opponent in guard - Khadziev advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Khadziev takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tovar is looking for a sweep. Khadziev is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tovar enables Khadziev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tovar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Khadziev is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Tovar wants to sweep here but Khadziev controlling him for the moment.
Khadziev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tovar swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Khadziev not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Tovar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Francisco Tovar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Khadziev is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Tovar is trying to get back to half guard.
Khadziev is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tovar will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Tovar is looking to regain half guard here but Khadziev keeps moving and retains side control.

You can see the frustration on Tovar's face as Khadziev controls the position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tovar tries to buck Khadziev off but Khadziev is having none of it.
Khadziev is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tovar's shoulder. That is not cool.
Tovar tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Khadziev dives in and scores a takedown into Tovar's guard.

Khadziev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tovar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khadziev has managed to get both his arms back between Tovar's legs - danger averted.

Khadziev changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tovar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Francisco Tovar has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kamil Khadziev is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kamil Khadziev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Khadziev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
