Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Luis Caixinha (ranked 22778 p4p, 3876 weight class) and Seth Christian (ranked 586 p4p, 453 weight class). Caixinha has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Luis Caixinha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luis Caixinha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Seth Christian! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christian misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Christian looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Caixinha fails with an attempt to clinch.
Caixinha wants to clinch up but Christian keeps it at a distance. Caixinha closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Christian did well to prevent Caixinha getting side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Caixinha is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Christian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Caixinha. Caixinha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Caixinha is looking for a kimura here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christian is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Christian is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Caixinha's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Christian is refusing to be controlled, as Caixinha sits in half guard. Caixinha is thwarting Christian's attempts to control the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Caixinha is trying to get an arm triangle but Christian is defending well. Christian can't do much from the bottom here. Caixinha tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Caixinha has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Caixinha really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Christian can't do much from the bottom here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Caixinha is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christian is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Christian drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Christian jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Luis Caixinha overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Christian throws a big right hand that misses. Caixinha looking for submissions from the bottom here. The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Caixinha gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Christian accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Christian passes easily into side control. Nice work. Christian trying to control the action but Caixinha is working from the bottom. Christian wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Caixinha, who protects the arm well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Christian creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Caixinha sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Seth Christian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Christian shoots in and gets a takedown into Caixinha's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Christian forces his way into half guard. Christian is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Caixinha! Christian looking to finish with strikes here!
Christian moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Caixinha has worked his arm free - good work by Caixinha!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Caixinha is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Christian has his hands clasped together but Caixinha extends and breaks Christian's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Caixinha.
