Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Mil (ranked 2743 p4p, 2998 weight class) and Island Guy (ranked 308 p4p, 337 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gabriel Mil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Island Guy!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mil shoots in and bounces Guy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mil scoring with punches to the head and body.
Mil sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Guy's guard.
Mil is trying to control. Guy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Guy is trying to maintain the position but Mil is very close to passing his half guard.
Mil has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mil is keen to just control but Guy is a slippery customer.
Mil throwing shots but Guy is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mil working Guy over with strikes.
Mil winds up and cracks Guy with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Mil is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mil thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Guy's head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guy can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mil wants to take a breather but Guy is having none of it.
Mil thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Mil scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Mil takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guy wants to improve his position but Mil is controlling well.
Guy is not content to let Mil control the position.
Guy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mil.
Mil works his way into side control.
Mil tries to score with some ground and pound. Guy controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Guy keeps working.
Mil looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Guy misses with a strike from the bottom.
Mil scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Guy to see if he's OK.
Mil advances to full mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mil controlling his opponent.
Guy is desperately trying to improve his position but Mil has a good base and remains in mount.
Mil wants to control the pace but Guy is squirming around nicely.
Mil content just to control the position here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mil can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guy is looking to escape.
Guy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Guy tries to lock up and control but Mil gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mil cracks Guy with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Mil raining down hammerfists from mount.
Guy tries to hold on but Mil pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mil can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guy is looking to escape.
Mil takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Guy looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
A nice elbow there by Mil.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Guy is desperately trying to improve his position but Mil has a good base and remains in mount.

Guy is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Guy is looking to get to half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Mil dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Mil changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Guy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Check out the look on Mil's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Guy is still in real trouble! Can Mil finish him?

Guy seems to have recovered his senses.

Guy avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mil.
Mil lands a strong strike to the head of Guy. That's dazed him! Mil looking to finish here. Guy is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Mil lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gabriel Mil!
Gabriel Mil seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
