Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wilt Paysley (ranked 1407 p4p, 3205 weight class) and Shaquiel Igwe (ranked 99 p4p, 184 weight class). Shaquiel Igwe will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wilt Paysley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shaquiel Igwe! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paysley with a poor takedown and Igwe counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Wilt Paysley has been cut. Igwe misses with a left hand and Paysley moves into the clinch. Paysley looking for a takedown. Paysley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Igwe smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilt Paysley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Paysley fails with a takedown attempt. Igwe changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Paysley misses with a takedown attempt and Igwe counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Paysley misses with a takedown and Igwe counters with a crisp right hand that drops Paysley! Igwe lets Paysley back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Paysley is rocked!
Wilt Paysley's cut is getting worse. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Paysley bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Paysley has control of an arm but Igwe manages to advance to Paysley's back! Igwe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Paysley trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Paysley finds himself mounted whilst avoiding strikes. Paysley sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Paysley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Igwe misses with a head shot. Paysley uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Igwe throwing strikes from guard but Paysley blocks nicely. Paysley avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Igwe throws an elbow that misses. Paysley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Igwe's guard. Nice move by Paysley!
Paysley decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Igwe loads up on a big right hand but Paysley slips the punch. Igwe misses with a looping right. Shaquiel Igwe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Paysley slips under a jab from Igwe. Paysley tries for a takedown but Igwe circles away easily and Igwe counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Paysley misses with a head kick.
Paysley slips a jab from Igwe. It looked like Paysley was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Paysley slips under a jab from Igwe. Nice shot lands for Igwe.
Wilt Paysley's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Paysley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Paysley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paysley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Paysley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Igwe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Paysley forces his way into half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Paysley in particular looking to stall. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Paysley connects with a nice short shot to Igwe's temple. Paysley frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Igwe wants to control but Paysley is having none of it. Igwe looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paysley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Paysley scoring with strikes but Igwe is staying in there. Igwe wants to hold on but Paysley pushes him away. Paysley looking to finish Igwe with some ground and pound. This is bad for Igwe! We've been hearing good reports from Paysley's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Igwe can do anything to dispel that myth. The referee warns Igwe that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Igwe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Paysley controlling from the full mount. Paysley has isolated one of Igwe's arms. Igwe looking to fight him off but Paysley twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
