Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Matthews!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Darryl Gray!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Matheus Silva and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Matthews on his heels. He'll look to pass Matthews's guard now, I'm sure.
Matthews is working an open guard so Gray takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gray with a lazy takedown attempt
and Matthews makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Matthews leaves Gray with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gray has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Darryl Gray has been cut.
Matthews cracks a nice hook into Gray's ribs.
Gray shoots and misses
and Matthews counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
