Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peyton Moore (ranked 1163 p4p, 2085 weight class) and Jake Watson (ranked 157 p4p, 251 weight class). Jake Watson will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Peyton Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Watson! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moore. A combination from Moore does no damage. Watson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Watson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Moore connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Watson scrambles back to his feet. Moore throws a leg kick but Watson sees it coming and moves out of range. Watson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Moore staying out of range there. Moore uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Watson has time to react. Moore definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Moore connects with a nice looking jab.
Watson is rocked! Peyton Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Moore. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Watson! But no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moore takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Moore throws a hook but Watson blocks it. Watson misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore misses with a few strikes there.
Watson is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Moore with a body shot. Moore thuds a left hand into Watson's body. A shot to the liver by Moore. Beautiful body shot. Watson tries to move into range but Moore moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Moore waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Watson. Moore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Moore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Moore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watson circles away quickly and effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore connects with a good right hand that stumbles Watson. Watson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Watson is still on wobbly legs! Can Moore finish him? Moore throws a hook but Watson avoids it easily. Watson seems to have recovered his senses. Moore throws a right and a left that both miss. Moore throws an off balance right hand
and Watson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Moore tries to land a body kick and Watson counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Moore waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Watson. Moore moves forwards but Watson connects with a nice, crisp jab. Moore scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Watson circles away quickly and effectively. Watson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Moore.
It seemed like Watson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Watson cracks Moore with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Moore slips under a jab. Watson getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A slow jab from Watson misses its intended target. Moore misses the shot to the body. A slow jab from Moore misses its intended target. Watson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Watson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Moore misses with a straight left. Watson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Moore thows a left - swing and a miss! Watson misses with a body shot.
Watson slips under a jab from Moore. Moore is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Watson. Moore throws a right hand that misses
enabling Watson to counter with a crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moore throws a leg kick that is checked letting Watson counter with a right hand. Moore throws a lazy uppercut
and Watson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Watson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Watson moves out of range as Moore strikes. A little jabbing left from Watson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Moore looks to score with a jab to the body but Watson is just out of range. Moore is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Watson hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Peyton Moore! Peyton Moore decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
