Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronald McDonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marquis Rasmussen!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasmussen misses with a looping right.
Rasmussen misses the shot to the body.
A little feinted left hand from McDonald on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
McDonald blocks a jab.
Rasmussen misses with a wild body shot.
Rasmussen avoids a punch combination nicely.
McDonald drives through with a takedown into guard.
McDonald is stalling in the full guard.
Rasmussen trying to keep a closed guard but McDonald is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonald content to stall in guard here.
McDonald gets to his feet - Rasmussen follows without any prompting.
McDonald throws a series of punches but Rasmussen moves out of range.
McDonald lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Rasmussen backs up against the cage.
A low kick from Rasmussen misses
and McDonald decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rasmussen's guard.
McDonald is standing up over Rasmussen. Rasmussen looks to escape but McDonald dives into side control.
Rasmussen seems a little lost for a moment, as McDonald dominates the positioning.
McDonald stands up and beckons Rasmussen to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from McDonald.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rasmussen throws a poor cross that misses
and McDonald counters with a nice double leg into guard.
McDonald sitting in guard, not really doing much.
McDonald has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
McDonald lands a couple of digs.
McDonald controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Rasmussen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McDonald. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
McDonald slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Rasmussen trying to remain calm as McDonald controls from the top position.
McDonald is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Rasmussen is trying to escape and McDonald transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Rasmussen is forced to tap! Nice work there by McDonald! Very nice indeed!
