Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seth Vandrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Vandrel's choice of entrance music: Tarantula - Pendulum. Sam Wilkinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Wilkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seth Vandrel! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilkinson looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Vandrel wants to get back to his feet but Wilkinson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wilkinson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vandrel swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vandrel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wilkinson manages to get himself to full guard.
Vandrel wants to stand but Wilkinson has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Vandrel looking to pass the guard. Wilkinson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wilkinson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Wilkinson throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson wants to sweep but no luck. Wilkinson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wilkinson is keen to just control but Vandrel is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vandrel taking some punishment here, with Wilkinson in his half guard. Vandrel wants to get back to his feet.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wilkinson in particular looking to stall. Wilkinson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Vandrel's thigh. Vandrel counters though and makes it back to full guard. Wilkinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Vandrel is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vandrel is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wilkinson is controlling him. Wilkinson trying to control but Vandrel is working from the bottom. Wilkinson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Vandrel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wilkinson connects with a couple of short punches. Wilkinson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilkinson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Wilkinson looking to pass the guard. Vandrel wants to get back to his feet but Wilkinson is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Wilkinson landing with the ground and pound. Vandrel working a defensive guard here.
Vandrel has momentary wrist control but Wilkinson slips an elbow through the middle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wilkinson cracks Vandrel with a solid left hand. Wilkinson wants to pass the guard but Vandrel is keeping the position. Wilkinson landing with the ground and pound. Wilkinson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vandrel works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Wilkinson throws and elbow that misses. Vandrel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wilkinson's guard. Nice move by Vandrel! There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilkinson is on top in guard.
Wilkinson wants to control from the top but Vandrel keeps moving. Wilkinson postures up and lands a big shot to Vandrel's brow. Wilkinson tries to free his leg and advance position but Vandrel is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam Wilkinson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wilkinson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Wilkinson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Vandrel is trying to stand up here but Wilkinson is controlling him well. Wilkinson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Vandrel tries to reverse the position but Wilkinson maintains control. Vandrel in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Wilkinson landing shots from mount. Vandrel is working to get back to half guard.
Vandrel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson punishing his opponent with strikes. Wilkinson looking to finish Vandrel with some ground and pound. This is bad for Vandrel! Wilkinson has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vandrel's face.
Vandrel is rocked! Vandrel takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Wilkinson's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Wilkinson!
