This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 12 wins and 13 losses; Marquis Chriss! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 5 losses; Sambo Sam!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Chriss fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sam sprawls well initially but Chriss persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Chriss (2) vs (0) Sam
Sam is trying to maintain the position but Chriss is very close to passing his half guard.
