Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Bukele (ranked 431 p4p, 1732 weight class) and Frankmaster Phlex (ranked 56 p4p, 240 weight class). Frankmaster Phlex will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Oscar Bukele! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frankmaster Phlex! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bukele misses with a body shot.
Bukele with a poor takedown and Phlex counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bukele tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Phlex was well out of range. Poor timing from Bukele. Phlex fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Bukele throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Phlex sees it coming and avoids it easily. Phlex uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bukele.
Phlex now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Bukele darts in looking for a takedown but Phlex gets double underhooks and turns Bukele into the cage. A little jabbing left from Phlex on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bukele is trying to pull guard but Phlex turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Oscar Bukele. That's going to take a lot out of him. Phlex breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bukele wants to clinch and Phlex counters with a two punch combo. Bukele shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Phlex as he avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bukele fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Phlex to the ground. Bukele is now in Phlex's guard. Bukele throwing strikes from guard but Phlex blocks nicely. Phlex keeping full guard, as Bukele tries to pass. Bukele scoring with punches to the head and body. Phlex looks winded! Phlex utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bukele thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bukele slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bukele working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bukele throwing shots but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phlex trying to remain calm as Bukele controls from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Phlex parries the strikes from Bukele easily there. Bukele is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Phlex to escape.
Phlex really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bukele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Phlex avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bukele. The ground and pound from Bukele seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Bukele moves into full mount! Bukele scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Phlex?
Bukele definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Phlex can do anything to dispel that myth. BOOM! Bukele connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Phlex is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Bukele locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Phlex is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Oscar Bukele! Oscar Bukele retains his welterweight title! An out of breath Oscar Bukele thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
