This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 12 losses; Daaniel Teteny! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 6 losses; Sambo Sam!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Teteny looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Teteny (2) vs (0) Sam
Teteny trying to control but Sam is working from the bottom.
Teteny has gone for a leg lock! Sam slips out almost immediately though and dives into Teteny's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Teteny (2) vs (2) Sam
Sam is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sam stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Teteny swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sam not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Our spies down at at 4 inform us that Sam has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Teteny slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Teteny avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sam looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Teteny puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Teteny is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sam defends it well.
Sam wants to get back to full guard.
Teteny is looking to stall in half guard but Sam is in no mood to hang around. He's locked up a Kimura from the bottom and has used it to sweep! He's held on to the kimura and is looking to finish here... will he get it... YES! Teteny taps out and the crowd goes crazy! Great finish!
